Arsenal will hope to have Gabriel Magalhaes available for the visit of West Ham United in the Premier League this weekend.

Mikel Arteta has been handed a string of injury problems in the early stages of the season but does have Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard available again after respective hamstring and shoulder issues.

There was another scare midweek during the Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Olympiacos in the Champions League.

Gabriel was forced off late on after he was sandwiched between David Raya and a member of the opposition, looking in some discomfort as he left the pitch to be replaced by Cristhian Mosquera.

Arteta was hopeful his defender had avoided any fresh injury, suggesting the change was a precautionary move.
