Police respond to pedestrian struck by vehicle in North Omaha

One person is hospitalized after they were struck by a vehicle in North Omaha on Wednesday night.

Omaha police responded to the intersection of 24th and Ames streets shortly before 8 p.m. for a reported injured pedestrian.

Police said a 47-year-old man was hit by a vehicle and taken to the hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Officers justified in deadly Council Bluffs shooting in August

The Iowa Attorney General’s Office said Wednesday that officers were legally justified in the fatal shooting that killed 48-year-old Michael Broyles in August.
