Brent Venables, Ben Arbuckle speak with reverence about '85 Sooners

NORMAN — A young Brent Venables remembers sitting in the stands for an OU -Nebraska game in Lincoln. The Sooner linebackers were warming up right in front of Venables, a future college linebacker himself at Kansas State.

Venables, to no surprise, had his eyes on No. 44: Brian Bosworth.

“That dude’s a badass,” Venables thought. “I want to be like him.”
