The Super Mario Galaxy games are considered some of Nintendo's most beloved entries in the 3D Mario series, with both of them earning critical acclaim when they both launched for the Nintendo Wii in 2007 and 2010. Starring the titular Mario, it sees the Italian plumber blast off into space while exploring spherical miniature planets and performing all sorts of platforming challenges.

Despite being heralded as two of Nintendo's best games, they've failed to see re-releases on successive consoles like the Nintendo Switch, bar the 3D All-Stars collection from 2020 which bundled the first Mario Galaxy along with Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
