The air has become crisp as the Section 9 football season has swung into full gear. Our prognosticator, Rich Arnott, is also feeling good and in midseason form.
Here are Rich’s Section 9 predictions for this week.
MONROE-WOODBURY over Middletown – The Crusaders have allowed only nine points during their three-game winning streak, and the Middies posted a goose egg last week at Newburgh.
PINE BUSH over Valley Central – The Bushmen started to roll with 68 points over the last two games to even up the overall record at 2-2, as well as earning the league win over Kingston. Logan McKenna will need a workhorse-type effort for the Vikings.
MINISINK over Our Lady of Lourdes – OLL has given up uncustomary high scores early this season, and Minisink will want to exploit any defensive weaknesses
