GRAINGER COUNTY, Tenn. — Some would say that Alex Davidson is a living miracle — at least, that's what doctors told his family after he survived a motor vehicle collision at just 16 years old.
"We came home with a feeding tube. We came home with a ventilator. We came home with the doctors telling us he's not going to talk and he's probably never going to eat regular food again," Stephanie Davidson, Alex's mom, said. "Then, as he's making these progressions, we just learned to adjust to life."
The day before Mother's Day in 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic , Alex was working a morning shift at his local grocery store before celebrating the day with his family.
