Portsmouth are still sweating on the fitness of Josh Murphy after the talismanic winger missed his third match in a row.

Pompey boss John Mousinho was hoping the 30-year-old would be available for last night's 2-2 draw with Watford - but once again he was not involved.

In the build up to Wednesday night's game Mousinho had hoped to have Murphy available describing him as 'very day-to-day at the minute.'

Pompey will now consider whether they want to have him for Saturday's game with Middlesbrough or give him the international break to get right.

They are already without attacker Callum Lang and centre back Conor Shaughnessy who are both out for at least a couple of months with hamstring injuries.

Goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid is out for a similar spell with a broken hand.
