Former Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick has secured a surprising new position with UEFA amidst ongoing pressure on Ruben Amorim to deliver results.
The 43-year-old former Boro manager has been linked with an unexpected return to Old Trafford as caretaker boss should the Man United leadership decide to part company with the Portuguese head coach.
