An Only Fools and Horses legend has died at the age of 68 as tributes poured in on social media.

Patrick Murray is best known for playing Del Boy and Rodney Trotter’s friend Mickey Pearce on the iconic BBC sitcom.

Making his first appearance as the wheeler dealer in 1983, Patrick would go on to star in 20 episodes up until 2003.

Outside of his work on Only Fool s, Patrick appeared in Scum and Quadrophenia, Curse of the Pink Panther and The Firm over the years.

News of Patrick’s death was announced on an Only Fools fan page, alongside an image of him playing Mickey.

A statement read: “It is with heartfelt sadness that we report the death of our friend Patrick Murray – Mickey Pearce to so many.
