The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a homicide on the city's north side.

Emergency crews were called to 1000 block of Dawson Road at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for reports of an injured male.

The man was brought to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was pronounced deceased.

The city police service determined the man's death was the result of a homicide and the police's major crimes unit and forensic identification unit are involved in the ongoing investigation.

No other information was available on Wednesday. The public is being advised that a police presence will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
