Special cost of living payments are arriving for households in the West Midlands region.

The £200 payments are known as hardship grants and are issued by Birmingham City Council.

The grants have been funded by the Household Support Fund (HSF) via the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ).

HSF funding has been allocated to local authorities across the country to help households struggling with the cost of living.
