Households have been issued a four-week alert over the arrival of cost of living payments worth £200.

The alert has been issued by Birmingham City Council which is handing out the money as part of its Hardship Grant Community Fund.

The scheme for the allocation of the payments, which are known as hardship grants, opened on June 23 this year.
