INDEPENDENCE, Ky. (WXIX) - An internal investigation into the conduct of a Kenton County school principal resulted in his resignation Thursday.

According to a spokesperson for Kenton County Public Schools, Summit View Academy’s now-former principal Jason Loreaux submitted his resignation after the district placed him on administrative leave.

On Tuesday evening, Kenton County schools sent a statement to the Summit View Academy community regarding an internal investigation the district launched.

Two days later, the county school district sent the following update out:

Loreaux was hired on as principal in 2024, the school district’s social media says. Before then, he served as Beechgrove Elementary School’s assistant principal.
