Jonathan Anderson has such a distinct sensibility that his version of Dior has to be one of the most hotly anticipated debuts in a season full of them (next up: Pierpaolo’s Balenciaga and Blazy’s Chanel). His collection managed to refer to silhouettes and staples from most of Dior’s iterations, from Christian to Saint Laurent to Galliano, to Maria Grazia Chiurri, while putting his own fantastical mark on them. Some of it is great — I love this first dress, for example, and there’s a version in a gorgeous blue — and some of it is a little wacky, and some is downright nonsense.
