NEW YORK — Social media companies will now have to start reporting their content moderation policies to New York State Attorney General Letitia James' office as required by the 'Stop Hiding Hate' Act.

Social media companies operating in New York with more than $100 million in annual revenue must now file biannual reports on how they address harmful content. Platforms can begin submitting their reports online by Jan. 1.
