An Ellenville woman died Sept. 30 when her car collided with a motor home on Route 209 in the Town of Wawarsing.

New York State Police said troopers from their Ellenville barracks responded to a report of the crash just after 7:45 a.m. that day.

According to state police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2021 Hyundai driven by Elsa M. Booth, 36, was headed north on Route 209 when it failed to keep right and collided head-on with a 2004 Gulf Stream Conquest motor home.

The Hyundai became fully engulfed in flames as a result of the collision.

State police said Booth was extricated from her car and received emergency medical assistance at the scene. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
