Sean "Diddy" Combs is about to learn his fate.

On Friday, Oct. 3, the rapper will be sentenced in New York after he was convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution in July. He was acquitted on the most serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Combs' trial, which lasted approximately two months, included graphic testimony from women who accused the rapper of abuse, including his ex-girlfriend Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine. Combs did not call any witnesses.

Ahead of the sentencing hearing on Oct. 3, Judge Arun Subramanian denied the rapper's push to overturn his conviction or grant him a new trial. The judge determined that prosecutors presented "overwhelming evidence of Combs's guilt."

Combs' team is asking the judge for a sentence of 14 months. The prosecution is seeking at least an 11-year sentence.

Ahead of the sentencing, Ventura Fine said in a letter to the judge that she is "so scared" that if Combs "walks free," his "first actions will be swift retribution toward me and others who spoke up about his abuse at trial."

"As much progress as I have made in recovering from his abuse, I remain very much afraid of what he is capable of and the malice he undoubtedly harbors toward me for having the bravery to tell the truth," she wrote.

A former assistant of Combs who testified anonymously under the pseudonym "Mia" also wrote in a letter to the judge that she "buried so many terrible memories of abuse, including violence and sexual assault, that I was forced to dig up and re-live" when she testified during the trial.

"I cannot overstate the traumatizing impact of reading his threatening emails, reviewing old photos and videos and hearing his voice again," she wrote.

Ahead of Combs' sentencing, take a look back at all of the witnesses who testified during his trial.
