PHOENIX – A man was hospitalized with serious injuries Thursday morning after a shooting involving police in south Phoenix, authorities said.
The shooting occurred in the area of Seventh Street and Sunland Avenue, north of Southern Avenue, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
No officers were injured in the incident.
The public is being asked to avoid the area during the investigation, which is expected to take several hours.
No other details were immediately available.
