The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Meridian has charged 23-year-old Dwyon Altman in connection with an incident at a Meridian hotel in which he allegedly posed as a police officer and attempted to detain a woman during a supposed “sting operation,” officials said.

Altman faces charges of Impersonating an Officer, Procurement of Prostitution, and Obscene Electronic Communication. The case was referred to MBI by the Meridian Police Department on Sept. 16, 2025.

Authorities did not immediately release additional details. The investigation is ongoing.
