Magee Police say officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots near Magee Middle School late Thursday morning, prompting immediate law enforcement response and temporary lockdowns at nearby schools.
According to the department, emergency dispatch received calls around 11:24 a.m. reporting shots fired in the area. Witnesses told officers they heard shouting but did not see a shooter. After a brief search, officers made contact with Todd C. Allen, who was charged with Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits. Police said Allen was under the influence at the time; however, because he was on his own property during the encounter, he was not charged with public intoxication.
