GENESEE COUNTY, MI – The Community Foundation of Greater Flint has established a relief fund to support the victims, families and broader community in the wake of the mass killing at a Grand Blanc Township church.
The Grand Blanc Relief Fund, working in partnership with local nonprofits, will provide immediate and longer-term resources to aid in recovery for the community.
Four people died and several others were injured following a shooting and fire at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday, Sept. 28, off McCandlish Road in Grand Blanc Township.
Police have said 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford was responsible for the incident. He was killed by officers in the church’s parking lot.
