AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Museum of Art will open two new exhibits with receptions this Saturday.

The AMoA Biennial 600 is an exhibition of artworks selected from submissions by artists within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo.

Museum officials say it is part of an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring areas of artistic practice, material, and content.

The works for this exhibit were chosen by juror Rachel Zebro, an associate curator of collections at the Phoenix Art Museum.

The second exhibit to be opened at the museum is Wicked Wells + Window Wipeouts by Tristram Lansdowne and Ryan Crowley.

The museum states the exhibition will feature sculptures and paintings “whose materials are gathered from the visual experiences of our everyday travels.”
