Authorities are responding to the scene of a possible explosion at a high-rise building in Downtown Houston.

The explosion reportedly caused a fire that first responders are working to contain. It occurred at 1319 Texas Street near Daikin Park.

Initial reports from HFD say that the explosion was caused by a boiler in the building on the 17th floor of the boiler room.

At least five people suffered burn injuries, HFD PIO Marty Lancton said.

This is a developing story and will continue to be updated as more information becomes available.
