PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Peoria police are investigating after a man was found seriously injured with apparent gunshot wounds.

Just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, officers went to the 1800 block of North Underhill Street after receiving a report that a man had been shot, said Peoria police spokesperson Semone Roth.

Arriving officers found a 46-year-old man on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Crime Scene Unit and Patrol Unit are investigating.

Roth said at this time, there is no suspect information available. No arrests have been made public
