One of the winningest football coaches of all time is now finding himself in a "crabby" situation.
A team led by University of Alabama researchers recently discovered multiple fossils from multiple central and south-central Alabama counties, including one they named after former head coach Nick Saban .
The Saban crab, or scientifically known as Costacopluma nicksabani , was the most common crab found in the researchers' collection from Lowndes County, which is just southeast of Montgomery.

The researchers determined that the Saban crab, and its relatives, some of which are still around today, lived in or on the muddy sea floor. They have been around for an estimated 48 to 87 million years
