Jay Stansfield is expected to be fit for Birmingham City’s trip to Wrexham – but Chris Davies has cast doubt upon Bright Osayi-Samuel's availability.

The duo suffered foot injuries in the second half of Blues’ draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday and had to be replaced.

Stansfield, who is Blues’ top scorer this season with four goals, was trodden on by Wednesday defender Max Lowe and succumbed to the pain in the 73rd minute after initially trying to run it off.

Asked whether Stansfield’s ankle injury has settled down, Davies replied: “Yes.”

The striker’s ankle was heavily strapped against Wednesday but Davies says it is not due to a recurring issue. Stansfield missed a game before the last international break with an ankle problem.
