SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The former Des Moines Public Schools superintendent who was detained by ICE last week is no longer being held in Woodbury County.
According to a Facebook post from the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office, Dr. Ian Roberts was taken into custody by the United States Department of Justice Thursday morning.
The statement says that the Department of Justice took him into custody on a federal warrant.
Dr. Ian Roberts resigned from his position at Des Moines Public Schools earlier this week after being detained by ICE on September 26.
