LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Lansing Community College (LCC) is kicking off its Manufacturing Week on Thursday, offering students a firsthand look at careers in the industry.

The event showcases LCC’s manufacturing programs and aims to inspire interest in the field.

Students from across Mid-Michigan will have the opportunity to tour the shop floor, watch robots in action, observe real-time product creation, and take part in hands-on activities.

According to the Capital Area Manufacturing Council, nearly 4 million manufacturing jobs will be needed in the workforce over the next decade.
