Should Manchester United wish to hire Barcelona legend Xavi as their next head coach, they could find the process of recruiting him more straightforward than previously was the case.

The 45-year-old left Barcelona after the 2023/24 season and has been out of work since. Back at his boyhood club, Xavi impressed as he led the Catalan giants to La Liga glory and the Spanish Super Cup.

However, his next managerial move is, as of yet, unknown. Meanwhile, the pressure continues to mount on Ruben Amorim , particularly after the defeat to Brentford last weekend.
