HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Both the Grand Island and Hastings Police Departments are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October by allowing officers to wear pink patch emblems on their uniforms. This initiative aims to spread awareness and raise funds for the Forever Pink Foundation.

The Hastings Police Department offers officers two patch options and will also display pink ribbons on their patrol cars. The public can purchase these patches, as well as keychains and magnets, to show their support and contribute to the cause. According to Captain Haase of the Hastings PD, all funds collected in the Tri-Cities area for the Forever Pink Foundation will directly benefit the local community.
