LINCOLN, Neb. —

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule discussed the Huskers' week of practice and previewed the Michigan State game.

Rhule shared his vote of confidence in the team following a 30-27 loss to No. 21 Michigan.

"We're not embarrassed of our effort (in) the previous game," Rhule said. "We just know there are things we could have done better."

The Huskers' head coach added that Saturday's game against Michigan State is an "unbelievable opportunity" to get back in the win column.

Nebraska has not beaten the Spartans since 2018.

Rhule also provided an injury update on senior defensive back Malcolm Hartzog Jr., who did not play against Michigan.

Rhule, who listed Hartzog Jr. as 'doubtful' on Monday, said, "We'll work him out the day of the game and see where he's at."
