Despite announcing his resignation on Fox News last week, former State Superintendent Ryan Walters has been silent towards local media.

Walters is leaving public education to serve as the CEO of the Teacher Freedom Alliance.

Griffin Media made multiple attempts over the past week to speak to Walters. We attempted to get final questions answered as Walters headed into a speaking event.

HALEY: Anything to say to the people after three years in office?

WALTERS: I've said quite a bit. I'm going in to speak to a fantastic group right now. OPAC is tremendous, fighting for conservative values, and that's what we're going to continue to do.
