Fire authorities in Orange County, California celebrated the retirement of an arson-investigating K-9 after seven years of "outstanding service" on the job.

K-9 Officer Freedom was honored in a radio call along with his handler Captain Shawn Miller.

"Throughout his career, Freedom helped investigate arson cases, kept our communities safe, and attended community events. Now he's officially out of service and will spend his days playing fetch, napping, and soaking up all the love," the Orange County Fire Authority said.
