NEW YORK (WABC) -- The NYPD says that it is monitoring the deadly stabbing and car ramming attack that happened in Manchester, England , and there is no known connection to the city.
The attack happened on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar.
The NYPD added that they already had enhanced coverage and high visibility patrols in place at synagogues in New York City due to the holiday.
Meantime, former governor and mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo released a statement condemning the attack.
