Fall foliage is peaking in the higher elevations of New England over the next week . The gorgeous display of fall colors will be in full swing this weekend for the Green and White mountains. The Presidential mountains' color will be past peak by this time next week, so if you were considering leaf peeping, this weekend will be the time to do it.

Temperatures will be warming up between now and then, with highs in the 70s and 80s, and sunshine both Saturday and Sunday. If you are waiting for the southern New England peak, the average timing for peak color change is mid to late October.
The only minor setback this year is that it's been very dry. Fall colors may not be as vibrant as the postcard New England fall fol
