This in, news about four d-men in the Edmonton Oilers organization, with two veteran pros, Riley Stillman and Cam Dineen, placed on waivers so they can be sent to Bakersfield of the AHL, another one, Alec Regula, seemingly headed for a spot on Edmonton’s opening day roster, and a third, Evan Bouchard, getting some praise on his four-year $10.5 million per contract after Anaheim lavished a huge deal on a far less proven two-year NHLer, Jackson Lacombe.

Lacombe, 24, who has played just 148 NHL games with 60 points, was given an eight-year deal at $9 million per season.

As for Stillman, 27, and Dineen, 27, they’ve both played seven pro seasons, with Stillman making it into 163 NHL games and Dineen 38. But both players have been outplayed in this training camp by two younger pro prospects,
