A British skydiver plummeted 11,000 feet to the ground after both his parachutes failed to open — but miraculously survived.
Mitch Deakin, 25, was in Las Vegas when he took part in the tandem jump with an instructor on Sept. 17 to celebrate his birthday.
However, it turned into a nightmare when his main parachute and backup chute did not release, sending both men into a freefall.
Police said the pair hit the ground at about 35 to 45 miles per hour and were airlifted to hospital, the _Las Vegas Review-Journal_ reported.

The man suffered multiple injuries including a fractured pelvis, broken ribs, a perforated lung and a laceration to one of his kidneys, according to a GoFundMe campaign created by his girlfriend, Isabel Clacher,
