PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - A teenage boy has been identified as the person who was shot and killed in the St. Johns neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

The Portland Police Bureau says 16-year-old Alexander Montie-Lopez was found dead after officers responded to a shooting in the 6800 block of North Central Street just before 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 30.

The medical examiner confirmed Montie-Lopez died of homicide by gunshot wound.

A person was detained at the scene. Police said detectives have interviewed everyone involved, but no arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
