Eastern Mojave Desert, Including the Mojave National Preserve and Morongo Basin are under an updated wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. The advisory is valid from Friday 5 p.m. until Saturday Oct. 4, at 2 a.m.
According to the NWS Las Vegas NV , “West-northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
