An updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. valid for Friday, Oct. 3 between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Western Mojave Desert.
According to the NWS Las Vegas NV , “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
