A Dragons’ Den star whose product was hailed as ‘life-saving’ is now worth £1million after receiving three separate investments.

Dr. Samuel Bailey appeared on the BBC series tonight seeking investment from Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Steven Bartlett and Sara Davies.

Presenting his AI device that protects elderly people from dangerous fires, the West London inventor asked for a £100,000 investment for 5 per cent of the company.

His product, called Pippa, is a stove alarm that monitors cooking hazards and uses an intelligent temperature sensor and AI-powered thermal imaging.

If food begins to burn or you forget to turn the stove off properly, Pippa will alert your mobile device so that you can prevent a fire before it is about to start.
