Srinagar, Oct 2: The Meteorological Centre (MeT) Srinagar on Thursday predicted a three-day wet spell across Jammu and Kashmir between October 5 and 7. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in parts of the Jammu division, while Kashmir is likely to experience moderate to heavy showers at isolated locations.

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Director of MeT Srinagar, told Rising Kashmir that the weather would remain mostly dry until the afternoon of October 4. “However, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and gusty winds is expected later in the evening or night,” he said.

According to Dr. Mukhtar, between October 5 and 7, most areas of Jammu and Kashmir are likely to witness intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers. He also forecast light to moderate snowfall
