The Calgary Flames ’ general manager continued to add to a stack of significant paperwork Thursday when he inked head coach Ryan Huska to a two-year extension . That comes on the heels of a new deal for captain Mikael Backlund , plus long-term commitments to rising-star goalie Dustin Wolf , defenceman Kevin Bahl and right-winger Matt Coronato .

All the while, Conroy is working into the final year of his current contract.

When he was named the Flames’ general manager in May of 2023, he signed for a three-season span. Until Thursday morning, he and Huska had matching expiration dates.
