Suspicious person: Race Street

Police were called to Grindstone Elementary School, 191 Race, at about 8 p.m. Sept. 29 regarding a suspicious man in the gymnasium while children were practicing volleyball.

The man was sitting in the bleachers. Then he walked around the cafeteria.

School workers asked the children if anyone knew the man. When the man noticed that happening, he left the building while talking on his phone.

Fraud: Front Street

A Front Street man called police at about 7 p.m. Sept. 26 and said he had been scammed out of nearly $2,100 on Amazon.

The man used his credit card to buy a DJ sound system from someone on Sept. 17. The system was supposed to be shipped to his house by the delivery service DHL.
