Tulsa police arrested a man accused of stabbing a man and stealing a vehicle outside an AutoZone after a brief crime spree.
Officers responded around 5 p.m. Oct. 1 to a report of a stabbing near 51st Street and Peoria.
Police say Albertico Gamboa, suspected of asking people on a bus for drugs, followed one person off the bus into a Walgreens.
He later exited the store, stole a man’s backpack, threatened him with a kitchen knife and stabbed him. The victim is expected to recover.
Carjacking and Arrest
After the stabbing, police say Gamboa ran through the parking lot and jumped into a running blue Chevy outside AutoZone. The victim had exited the car to throw away trash when Gamboa got in.
Witnesses say the suspect threatened the victim with the knife before fleeing.
