ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Rock Hill Police Department has placed additional officers at South Pointe High School because of a domestic incident on Thursday.
A staff member was the victim of a domestic incident in another area, according to police. Investigators learned about the situation around 1:30 p.m. and placed additional officers at the school as a precaution.
The school was placed in "secure" status as the investigation continues. Police say there was no threat to the school at any time.
No information was released on what the domestic incident was. Police did not say if anyone was arrested in relation to the investigation.
Rock Hill Schools has not commented on the situation.
