Police are investigating after shots were fired into a home while people were sleeping inside in Sydney's west overnight.
The occupants escaped uninjured as multiple bullets hit the property in Stirling Street, Cecil Hills, about 2am today.
Police were called to the scene, but the perpetrators had already fled in a car by the time they arrived.
Officers set up a crime scene and began investigations.
Bullet casings could be seen left on the road and pavement near the property, 9News reports.
Inquiries are continuing today.
