Former 49ers running back Roger Craig, the inaugural member of the NFL’s 1,000/1,000 club, is among 52 remaining seniors candidates for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026.

The Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee will reduce the current list of candidates from 52 to nine in two separate votes over the next several weeks.

Eventually, they will choose three finalists to be included on the final ballot for the Class of 2026.

Craig, 65, played 11 NFL seasons, the first eight of which were with the 49ers. He appeared in the NFL playoffs every season he was in the league.

Craig was named to four Pro Bowls, one All-Pro team, and was a member of three Super Bowl champions with the 49ers.

In 1985, he made history with 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns rushing to go with 92 catches for 1,016
