Delmarva Power gas customers in Delaware could be paying more under a rate increase request filed with the Public Service Commission .
Delmarva is proposing an increase in its "gas cost rate" of about 43%. It's part of the overall bill, which would go up an estimated 13% a month.
Also, Chesapeake Utilities Corporation has also filed to increase its annual "gas sales service rate" by about 30% for most rate classes. If approved, the rate increases would take effect November 1st.
