CLEVELAND — Guardians seven-time All-Star Jose Ramirez produced a clutch RBI single in the fourth inning to tie the score 1-1 against the Detroit Tigers in a winner-take-all Game 3 of the American League Wild Card Series on Oct. 2 at Progressive Field.

Facing a full count against Tigers starting pitcher Jack Flaherty, Ramirez hit the ball to center field to drive home George Valera from second base. Valera led off with a double. Buy Cleveland Guardians gear

Unfortunately for the Guardians, they failed to inflict more damage during the inning. Ramirez was caught stealing, and Chase DeLauter later grounded into an inning-ending double play.
